CRISIS? THINK AGAIN!
THINKING DIFFERENTLY WITH RENTAL AGENT MANON DE LANGE
"It's been a crazy time." "Stay healthy." These are just a few of the phrases we've all heard frequently in recent months. They might even start to feel like clichés. In March, we thought the situation would only last a few months, but by October, we found ourselves facing a different reality. The virus has struck again and is spreading into every corner of life. Where we enjoyed some freedom in the summer, now we're back at home together.
Danger and Opportunity
The world is constantly changing, and we must adapt. Not just in our daily lives at home, but also at work. It’s a time of fear and uncertainty, but it also brings opportunities. John F. Kennedy famously said, “When written in Chinese, the word ‘crisis’ is composed of two characters. One represents danger, and the other represents opportunity.”
Finding Opportunities in a Crisis
Opportunities are always present, whether there's a crisis or not. A crisis can give us the chance to look at ourselves and our businesses from a fresh perspective. It’s human nature to develop routines. Repeating an action over time helps us gain experience and refine what we do. But after years of doing the same thing, now might be the time to assess if it’s still working. Perhaps everything is fine, but sometimes change is necessary.
Building Connections
This moment calls for a new approach. Where clients once sought you out, now you may need to reach out to them. A proactive attitude works wonders and fosters engagement. It’s also possible that the workload is lighter than before, giving you more time. This is the ideal moment to put that extra time to good use. Consider volunteering or helping a worthy cause. This is the time to build meaningful connections.
Third Babyhuis Location in Leiden
In recent months, rental agent Manon de Lange has dedicated herself even more to the Babyhuis Foundation, facilitating connections between the foundation and our property owners. Manon is incredibly proud that, even amid this challenging time, a third Babyhuis location has opened in Leiden. The Babyhuis Foundation is a non-profit organization providing shelter, care, and support to (expecting) mothers and babies. Their ultimate goal is for these mothers to live independently in a safe, supportive environment. It’s truly inspiring to see how rethinking our approach and being creative can lead to such impactful initiatives.
